A friend of Fluoramics, Dan Bass, recently wrote to tell us about a new use for HinderRUST — tire bead lubricant.
“I have used HinderRUST for tire bead lubricant 3 times now, although not a scientific test, those 3 times were the easiest I have ever done. I also treated the entire inside of the rim to prevent rust. I think there could be a market for this at professional tire shops. Almost all new vehicles use aluminum rims, it is very common for corrosion to develop under the bead and cause a leak. If HinderRUST is used to treat the rim and as a bead lubricant, there would be no more corrosion. I’m in need of new tires on my truck and I’m going to have the shop use HinderRUST to mount them to see how it works.”
