Corrosion of grounding wires and battery terminals is a problem in all vehicles. HinderRUST stops the ongoing corrosion.
In the fall of 2016, Fluoramics, Inc. conducted a Vehicle Protection Day for employees who wished to treat their cars — or the cars of family members — with HinderRUST. As part of the program, we sprayed HinderRUST on both the undercarriage and under the hood of the vehicle.
As we were working on an employee’s car, we saw corrosion eating away the engine copper grounding wire.
How HinderRUST Helped
Two days after spraying HinderRUST S4.0 onto the wires, we could see how HinderRUST aggressively wet and traveled along the wire. Portions of the base wire were already visible.
Seventy-six days later, the green corrosion was visibly falling off the wire and leaving clear, un-corroded copper wire showing.
Conclusion
HinderRUST wet through the Copper Oxide to the base metal. It stopped the corrosion in its tracks and freed the Oxide from the surface.
